About
Built by hobbyists. For hobbyists.
AmazingLightShows exists because the xLights community deserves better than affiliate-farm listicles written by people who've never soldered a pixel node. We're hobbyists who've spent seasons debugging power injection, chasing DDP dropouts, and yes, occasionally rebuilding a mega-tree in mid-December.
Every review is editorial. Vendors don't get to preview posts, negotiate wording, or pay for rankings. When we recommend a vendor, it's because their product earned it in the community — full stop.
We make money through affiliate and referral links. That means when you click a "Visit Vendor" button and end up buying something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It keeps the site running and the reviews independent. See the disclosure below for the FTC-required details.
Our editorial promise
- · We rank vendors on quality, not commission rate.
- · We disclose every affiliate link with a clear visual treatment and a `data-affiliate` attribute.
- · We update reviews when vendors change — including downgrades.
- · We answer reader questions directly, not through PR filters.
FTC Affiliate Disclosure
AmazingLightShows participates in affiliate and referral programs with vendors mentioned throughout the site. When you click a link marked with our affiliate treatment (or the data-affiliate attribute) and make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission. This does not affect the price you pay and does not influence our editorial reviews or rankings. Placeholder legal text — replace with your finalized disclosure before launch.
